Windows with Inaccessible Close, Apply or OK Buttons
Sometimes
a Window might open up to such a size that the some of the buttons such as
Close, Apply, or OK are inaccessible.
If all you want to do is close the active Window, just press ALT-F4. Otherwise, you can try moving the Window by
clicking down on the Title Bar so you can drag it to a better location to
expose these buttons. But if the Title
Bar is hidden, you can't use the mouse to drag the Window around. In this case, you can use the Keyboard to
open a menu, which will allow you to move the Window with the cursor arrow keys
as follows:
(1) Make sure the Window is active by
clicking on it.
(2) Press the ALT-Space Bar to open up a
drop-down menu that normally appears when you click on the top-left corner of
the Title Bar.
(3) Press M for Move, and then use the
cursor arrow keys as needed to move the Window until the buttons you need are
exposed.
(4) Press Enter to end the Move command.
(5)
You can now drag the Window around with the mouse after clicking down on the
Title Bar.
